Staff Development Coordinator


  • Sets annual goals that are realistic and attainable for the department being managed.

  • Manages department in a manner that results in the attainment of goals consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

  • Coordinate staff development and training and ensure compliance with all JCAHO, state and federal regulations.

  • Manage the planning, design, and coordination of training programs. Incorporate technology to provide consistent training and programs throughout Millcreek Rehabilitation, Schools and HCBS.

  • Assist other professional and support service personnel with assessing needs, establishing objectives and designing or modifying training courses.

  • Ensure training calendar is compiled, distributed, and all time lines are met.

  • Ensure core curriculums for inservice trainings are written, maintained and updated at least annually.

  • Research related programs, resource materials, and publications to ensure training is current.

  • Work directly with supervisory personnel to assess effectiveness and application of training by staff.

  • Ensure training data and records on all employees are compiled, entered, tracked, and maintain all training manuals, booklets, and/or audiovisual aides, etc.

  • Provide assistance and conduct training sessions as needed.

  • Assist employees in obtaining continuing education credit for training received when applicable.

  • Ensure all scheduled parties conduct orientation according to the schedule.

  • Ensure final exam is given to employees and all employees successfully pass each exam, if not, retest as needed.

  • Ensure all attendance sheets are properly maintained (i.e., input into computer, file, etc.).

  • Provide care and/or conduct patient/resident interactions in a manner appropriate for the age, culture, and population being served.

  • Follow all safety policies and adhere to all workers? compensation program guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
