RN (Behavioral nurse position) Monday - Friday 2nd shift

    • Assess situations and respond appropriately through prioritization and organization of tasks in order to achieve positive outcomes.
    • Demonstrate competence by giving appropriate rationale for actions taken.
    • Demonstrate competence in correctly giving prescribed medication.
    • Report pertinent information and/or changes in patient condition to physician, DON, and/or on-call nurse as appropriate and in a timely manner.
    • Participate in treatment team meetings and reviews as assigned.
    • Demonstrate clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintain the highest quality of comprehensive patient care.
    • Utilize the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
    • Demonstrate professional skills and perform the tasks needed to maintain a therapeutic milieu and optimum patient care.
    • Demonstrate behavior that is consistent with leadership.
    • Document nursing care provided, maintain appropriate records related to patients' progress and activities accurately and in a timely manner (i. e., I/A reports, EPS, AIMS, worker's compensation reports, restraint/seclusion, etc.)
    • Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Complete medication discrepancy form and notify doctor when they occur.
    • Complete shift report sheet daily and report staffing problems to DON.
    • Follows all safety policies and adhere to all worker's compensation program guidelines.
    • Complete admission nursing assessments, quarterly nursing assessments and annual nursing assessments as required by regulatory agencies.
    • Complete individualized nursing care plans as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
